60 foreign businesspeople ready for Expo as Fars prepares multilingual investment materials

Mohsen Nahavandi says entry arrangements for more than 60 foreign businesspeople and trade professionals have been finalized, alongside efforts to strengthen targeted marketing and prepare multilingual materials presenting Fars’s investment opportunities.

The Managing Director of Fars International Exhibition Company announced:

According to the Public Relations Office of Fars International Exhibition, Mohsen Nahavandi referred to the company’s coordinated plans to deliver a strong Expo event and ensure a substantial presence from the province’s business community, saying: “One of the international exhibition’s central missions is to create a secure, dynamic and promising platform connecting local producers with international buyers. For the coming week, our agenda therefore includes talks with capable companies and encouraging their participation, particularly in strategic sectors such as agriculture and industry, so that the full range of Fars’s export capabilities can be showcased to visitors.”

Targeted marketing and trade diplomacy

Emphasizing the need to strengthen trade diplomacy and transform the mechanisms for attracting foreign delegations, the Managing Director of Fars International Exhibition Company stated: “Experience has shown that online publicity alone or traditional methods cannot bring about a significant improvement in attracting major buyers. We therefore need targeted marketing, engagement with economic influencers and direct contact with embassies.”

Referring to his recent discussions in the capital, Nahavandi added: “During our recent trip to Tehran, we established effective contacts, including talks with the Iraqi Embassy. We expect the Foreign Ministry’s representative office to draw on the involvement of every ambassador and chargé d’affaires to identify and invite leading traders and buyers from each country, so that the opportunities created at the exhibition lead directly to trade contracts and the attraction of investors.”

Foreign business participation and specialist negotiations

Outlining the initial figures for foreign trade delegations, the Managing Director of Fars International Exhibition Company said: “To date, arrangements for more than 60 businesspeople and trade professionals to enter the country have been finalized. They include 12 people from Iraq, 45 from Afghanistan—with a particular focus on the market for agricultural products and processed goods—2 from Türkiye and one representative from Pakistan. These figures represent only the initial intake, and the number will increase significantly with the follow-up work ahead.”

Reiterating the need for targeted invitations to traders based on market requirements, he said: “Our approach is to invite traders with a clear purpose. We connect the domestic supply chain according to demand in each country’s market, so that specialized booth construction and the provision of infrastructure and services ensure that the funds and effort committed deliver the greatest economic return for industrialists and producers.”

Presenting Fars’s investment opportunities in multiple languages

Concluding with an overview of Fars International Exhibition’s content development and support activities, Nahavandi noted: “Comprehensive content packages in various languages are being prepared to present Fars Province’s investment potential and competitive advantages effectively. The aim is for exhibition halls to go beyond displaying goods and become a gateway to transparent B2B negotiations and precise presentations of the province’s investment opportunities to foreign delegations.”
